St. Augustine Catholic hasn't had much luck against San Miguel recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Vipers at 4:00 p.m. San Miguel took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Augustine Catholic, who comes in off a win.
St. Augustine Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Palo Verde with a sharp 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won seven in a row.

Lehla Joe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, three stolen bases, and seven RBI while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Addie Fette and Maria Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Fette went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Martinez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Karen Velazquez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
St. Augustine Catholic lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, San Miguel lost 18-7 to Desert Christian last Tuesday. The Vipers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
San Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for St. Augustine Catholic, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
St. Augustine Catholic got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against San Miguel by a conclusive 29-16 score. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Vipers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
