Basketball Recap: Toppenish Piles Up the Points Against Silas

On Thursday, the Toppenish Wildcats were fully in charge, breezing past the Silas Rams 61-20. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 32 points or more this season.

Toppenish was led to victory by Tatiana Camacho and Viviana Hernandez. Camacho almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds, while Hernandez went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and three steals. What's more, Camacho also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2023. Jadalyn Ramirez was another key player, going 6 of 12 on her way to 12 points.

Toppenish was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silas only racked up five assists.

Carmayla Jackson and Sisalee Miller certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Jackson posted six points, while Miller had a point.

Toppenish's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Silas, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Toppenish wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-35 win against River Ridge on the 27th. As for Silas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-26 loss against Nooksack Valley on the 27th.
