Softball Recap: Forest Hills Eastern Has No Trouble Against Forest Hills Central

Forest Hills Eastern had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Forest Hills Central on Monday. The Hawks blew past the Rangers 12-2. Considering the Hawks have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Samira Zehner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Zehner was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Forest Hills Eastern got a massive performance out of Emilee Nowicki, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Raena Scully was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Forest Hills Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest Hills Central only posted a batting average of .217.

Forest Hills Eastern's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Forest Hills Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
