Grass Lake Gets a Boost from Cook in 28-7 Win
Starting off the list is Grass Lake's Bryant Cook, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Cook picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 75 yards.
Grass Lake's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3. Cook will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Addison on Friday.

Sadly, Braylon Brown posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Michigan Center over Manchester on Friday. Brown rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries.
On the year, Brown has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 84.8 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 39.75 rushing yards per game.

Another Game with at Least Seven Total Tackles from Braylen Villarreal
Michigan Center came up short on Friday despite Braylen Villarreal delivering his best game to date. Villarreal wasn't messing around, forcing a fumble and making 18 total tackles. The contest was his eighth straight with seven or more total tackles dating back to last season.
This season, Villarreal has averaged 10.5 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.25 total tackles per game.
