Meanwhile, Lovejoy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 83-12 win over Greenville on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Lovejoy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Sherman has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Lovejoy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.
Sherman suffered a grim 62-37 defeat to Lovejoy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sherman was down 38-17.
