The Clint Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Franklin, falling 79-19. While losing is never fun, Clint can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1141st, while Franklin is ranked 176th).
Leading Franklin to victory were Jose Escobedo and Max Mu?oz. Escobedo scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds, while Mu?oz scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Darion Mitchell, who scored 5 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Clint's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Burges the next time they take the court. Franklin will head out to face Burges at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Clint will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
