It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Sandy Valley Sidewinders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 49-43 W over Liberty Baptist Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sandy Valley.
Sandy Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christopher LeClair out in front who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Damion Turner, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Liberty Baptist Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryan Campbell. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Campbell also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Brandon Kiel was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Sandy Valley pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Sandy Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Beaver Dam at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
