The Kennedy Eagles were the 54-53 winner over the Hercules Titans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Kennedy's tough 61-38 loss to Hercules on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Kennedy just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Martin, who scored 13 points. Martin scored a full 34.2% of Kennedy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Scarbrough, who scored 9 points.
Kennedy bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hercules, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Concord is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Hercules won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
