The Frankenmuth Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Carrollton Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankenmuth will be strutting in after a victory while Carrollton will be coming in after a loss.
Frankenmuth scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Swan Valley as Frankenmuth made off with a 59-35 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Frankenmuth has managed all season.
Thomas Conzelmann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Carson Knoll was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Carrollton suffered a rough 62-36 loss at the hands of Standish-Sterling on Friday. While losing is never fun, Carrollton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while Standish-Sterling is ranked 148th).
The victory got Frankenmuth back to even at 2-2. As for Carrollton, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Everything came up roses for Frankenmuth against Carrollton in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 67-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frankenmuth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
