Despite the loss, Carlin had strong showings from Dylan Ramirez, who scored 14 points, and Leonidas Krantz, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. Krantz continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Excel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Mills led the charge by scoring 10 points along with 4 steals. Keegan Davis was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Carlin's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Excel Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Carlin will face off against Westwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Excel Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Wells at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wells' defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Excel Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Excel Christian.
