The Wayne Badgers will be playing at home against the Valley Buffalos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Wayne earned a 56-44 win over Escalante. The victory was just what Wayne needed coming off of a 68-38 loss in their prior match.
Wayne found their leader in underclassman Blake Peterson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Jake Batty was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Valley waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 61-55 victory over Milford.
Wayne's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Wayne strolled past Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 54-38. Does Wayne have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
