Plymouth Christian Academy waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Oakland Christian Lancers get on the board and left with  a   9-0  win. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past  Clara Groen, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Oakland Christian off the board. Groen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Mariah Wright, who  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ellie Weertz, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
Plymouth Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Oakland Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-5.
 Coincidentally, Plymouth Christian Academy and Oakland Christian will both be playing Inter-City Baptist the next time they take the field. The Eagles will  host the Chargers at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday, while the Lancers will head out to face them  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
