Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Logan's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Logan won the last time they faced Groveport-Madison and Lila Kern did her part to make sure it happened again. The Chieftains were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cruisers on Tuesday with plenty of help from Kern, who had 24 assists and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 24 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Logan took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-9, 25-11.

Logan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Groveport-Madison, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Logan will take on rival Teays Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Groveport-Madison is set to challenge their familiar foe Canal Winchester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
