Even though the Edison Chargers scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, the Mapleton Mounties still came out on top. Mapleton took their game against Edison 66-59. That's two games straight that Mapleton has won by exactly seven points.
Edison lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Davin Wendt, who scored ten points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Bourget, who scored ten points.
Mapleton's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Edison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Mapleton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. Crestview will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Edison won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Huron at 7:30 p.m. on December 23rd. Huron presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Edison in Ohio (Huron is ranked 223rd, while Edison is ranked 680th).
