The Titusville Terriers will face off against the Palm Bay Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Titusville took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Space Coast 17-7. With that win, the Terriers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Chase Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Bercaw, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
Titusville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They got five more hits than Space Coast's also-impressive total of 11.
Palm Bay never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Calvary Chapel Academy on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Pirates' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Jacob Hines and Keiran Cummings did most of the damage at the plate: Hines scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Cummings scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Hines is becoming a predictor of Palm Bay's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Timothy Owens was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Titusville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Palm Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Titusville took their win against Palm Bay when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-4 score. Do the Terriers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
