Basketball Game Preview: Pennsauken Tech vs. St. Joseph Wildcats

Pennsauken Tech and the St. Joseph Wildcats will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Pennsauken Tech is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Camden County Vo-Tech by a score of 63-56 on Saturday.

Omari Spencer and Tyrone Baker were among the main playmakers for Pennsauken Tech as the former went 6 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and five boards and the latter went 9 of 19 on his way to 28 points. With that strong performance, Spencer is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Melendez, who posted six points and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Pennsauken Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph's game on Saturday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Pleasantville with points to spare, taking the game 65-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

St. Joseph's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Pennsauken Tech, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
