Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the East Lincoln Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 37-7 loss at the hands of West Henderson. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, East Lincoln couldn't push the score so high this time.
Carson Dimsdale was his usual excellent self, rushing for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Dimsdale is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.
Another reason for the win was West Henderson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Gaige Watson and his two sacks.
East Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for West Henderson, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
East Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Henderson will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Grove is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
