It was a good run, but the Morningside Academy Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 60-48 to Jensen Beach. If Morningside Academy hoped to take revenge for the 48-47 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Clifford, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clifford has scored all season. Another player making a difference was James Bolton, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Morningside Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Jensen Beach, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morningside Academy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Olympic Heights at 7:30 p.m. on January 15th. Hopefully Olympic Heights focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday. As for Jensen Beach, they will head out on the road to take on Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
