The Saucon Valley Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Palmerton Blue Bombers at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Saucon Valley entered their tilt with Salisbury Township with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Saucon Valley walked away with a 55-47 victory over Salisbury Township on Saturday.
Jack Robertson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Clark, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Palmerton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top against Pocono Mountain East by a score of 66-54.
Saucon Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Palmerton, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Saucon Valley beat Palmerton 54-45 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saucon Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
