Volleyball Recap: Great Crossing Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Great Crossing had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Jenna Browning did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Warhawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tates Creek Commodores for which the team can thank Browning, who had 16 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Great Crossing took Tates Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 20-25, 24-26, 15-11.

Great Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Tates Creek, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Great Crossing will take on Paul Laurence Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tates Creek, they will square off against Boyle County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
