The Richardson Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Nimitz Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richardson has four straight victories, Nimitz has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Richardson kept a clean sheet against MacArthur. They had just enough and edged the Cardinals out 1-0. Richardson's winning goal came courtesy of Journee Mitchell.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Nimitz's offense. Their rough 5-0 defeat to Lake Highlands on Tuesday might stick with them for a while.
Richardson has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Nimitz, they dropped their record down to 2-7-2 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Richardson was able to grind out a solid victory over Nimitz in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, winning 2-0. Does Richardson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Nimitz turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
