Ursuline Academy has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will take on Mount Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. Ursuline Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Mount Notre Dame is ranked 14th).
Last Thursday, Ursuline Academy ended up a good deal behind Fairfield and lost 44-27.
Meanwhile, Mount Notre Dame put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Mercy McAuley for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-22 win on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-11.
Mount Notre Dame's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laila Harrison, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sarah Hofmann, who scored 10 points.
Ursuline Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mount Notre Dame, they have yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record.
Ursuline Academy came up short against Mount Notre Dame in their previous meeting back in January, falling 42-31. Can Ursuline Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
