Collin Watson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. He has become a key player for Jennings: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-9 otherwise.

Watson's strong effort led Jennings over Lake Arthur and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jennings is a perfect 3-0 against Lake Arthur going back to March of 2024, a lead they'll look to extend.
