The New Canaan Rams were the 59-56 winner over the Wilton Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. New Canaan took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilton on Friday.
Anderson Campbell was his usual excellent self, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks for Wilton. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Jarvie, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
New Canaan's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Wilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Canaan will challenge Stamford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stamford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than New Canaan in Connecticut (Stamford is ranked 17th, while New Canaan is ranked 75th). As for Wilton, they will head out on the road to square off against Staples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Staples knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Wilton likes a good challenge.
