Basketball Recap: Roaring Fork Piles Up the Points Against Olathe

There's no place like home for Roaring Fork, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Olathe Pirates 77-44. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Roaring Fork's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Carballeira, who went 7 of 17 en route to 16 points and three steals. Chase Fenton also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Roaring Fork was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olathe only posted five assists.

Despite the loss, Olathe still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Gordon, who posted 23 points. Gordon's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Wyatt Patterson was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.

Roaring Fork has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Olathe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Roaring Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-41 victory against Gunnison on the 8th. As for Olathe, they have also already played their next match, a 72-67 win against North Fork on the 8th.
