This season hasn't been kind to the Kopperl Eagles, who are still winless after their seventh contest. The contest between Kopperl and Morgan wasn't particularly close, with Kopperl falling 37-18. Bianca Aviles was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 0 assists for Morgan. Those 32 points set a new season-high mark for Aviles. The team also got some help courtesy of Briseyda Romo, who scored no points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Kopperl's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.9 points per game. As for Morgan, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
Kopperl will take on Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Morgan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for they, they will head out on the road to face off against Kopperl at 6:00 p.m. Kopperl comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
