The Ninilchik Wolverines can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Birchwood Christian as Ninilchik made off with a 58-38 victory. Winning may never get old, but Ninilchik sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Riley Tucker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ninilchik's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi McCorison, who scored 11 points.
Ninilchik's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Birchwood Christian, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Ninilchik will be playing at home against Kalskag at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (Kalskag is ranked 48th, while Ninilchik is ranked 57th). As for Birchwood Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Cook Inlet Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
