21st Century Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lemetrius Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Ronald Mosley was another key player, going 9 for 15 on his way to 22 points and three steals.
21st Century Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Crispus Attucks ended the year with a bang, routing Mishawaka Marian 58-38 two weeks ago. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Chris Hurt and Paxan Sullivan. Hurt had a solid game and went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Meanwhile, Sullivan did his best for the losing side, putting up 12 points and four steals.
21st Century Charter's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. 21st Century Charter hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 74.4 points per game. However, it's not like Indianapolis Crispus Attucks struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
21st Century Charter lost to Indianapolis Crispus Attucks at home by a decisive 84-65 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Indianapolis Crispus Attucks' Dezmon Briscoe, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 12 rebounds, and ten blocks. Now that 21st Century Charter knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
