Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boquet Valley). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 77-21 victory over the Willsboro Central Warriors. With that win, the Griffins brought their scoring average up to 52.3 points per game.

Carson Leibeck was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Boquet Valley's points. Jackson Pettit was another key player, putting up 14 points and six steals.

Boquet Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Boquet Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Willsboro Central, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Boquet Valley will square off against Bolton Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bolton Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Boquet Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Willsboro Central has already played their next game, a 64-38 defeat against Johnsburg Central on the 18th.
