She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Makayla Dallas was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Hernandez, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Valders always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roncalli only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Random Lake fell victim to Mishicot and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Valders' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Random Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Valders might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Random Lake in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
