Baseball Recap: First Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

First Baptist Academy lost against Southwest Florida Christian back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The First Baptist Academy Lions took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Florida Christian King's. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for First Baptist Academy and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Southwest Florida Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Baptist Academy will welcome Ida Baker at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. First Baptist Academy's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Ida Baker's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Florida Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
