Softball Recap: Keyser Has No Trouble Against North Marion

Keyser never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against North Marion on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering the Golden Tornado have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Mady McIntyre made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Bibs Felton was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and two stolen bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most home runs she has posted over her last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Root, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Keyser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 9-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Keyser's record is now 14-7. As for North Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.

Keyser will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair will be back at it again later today.
