Plainfield South extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from George Jimenez. The Cougars came out on top against the Plainfield East Bengals by a score of 2-0 on Saturday for which the team can thank Jimenez, who had 17 digs and one assist. He has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Plainfield South's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Plainfield East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Coming up, Plainfield South will welcome Joliet Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Plainfield East, they are taking a road trip to challenge Romeoville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bengals are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
