Basketball Game Preview: Seacrest Country Day Stingrays vs. First Baptist Academy Lions

Seacrest Country Day is 1-9 against First Baptist Academy since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays will head out to square off against the First Baptist Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Seacrest Country Day's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Last Tuesday, Seacrest Country Day was able to grind out a solid win over The Village School of Naples, taking the game 61-50.

Seacrest Country Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fedor Vuksanovic, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Vuksanovic's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ethan Bates was another key player, going 6 of 15 on his way to 17 points.

Meanwhile, First Baptist Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 55-43. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bobcats are ranked 551st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seacrest Country Day has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for First Baptist Academy, their record is now 19-1.

Seacrest Country Day took a serious blow against First Baptist Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 67-39. Can Seacrest Country Day avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
