The Barker Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Wilson at home and fell 48-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Barker has suffered against Wilson since December 19, 2019.
Rian Faery was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds for Wilson. Faery has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Thrush, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Barker's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barker will take on Royalton-Hartland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilson, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Medina at 6:00 p.m.
