Volleyball Recap: Northwest Whitfield's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Ringgold the last time they met, Northwest Whitfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bruins came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won four contests in a row.

While Northwest Whitfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21.

Jenna Quinn paced Northwest Whitfield's offense, picking up eight kills. Quinn got some help from Megan Torbett and her 15 assists. Paola Cuna controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Northwest Whitfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ringgold, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Coming up, Northwest Whitfield will take on Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ringgold, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast Whitfield County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
