Ladamien Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Blondin, who posted 16 points and five rebounds.
Pueblo Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glenwood Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Summit 65-35 on Thursday. The Demons have beaten the Tigers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
Pueblo Central better keep an eye on Jamison Godfread. He was instrumental in Glenwood Springs' win, going 7-for-9 en route to 15 points and seven boards. Godfread has become a key player for Glenwood Springs: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 8-10 otherwise. Benjamin Swanson was another key player, putting up nine points.
Glenwood Springs now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Pueblo Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Pueblo Central has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Glenwood Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Pueblo Central and Glenwood Springs were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but Pueblo Central came up empty-handed after a 60-59 defeat. Can Pueblo Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
