The Biddeford Tigers will take on the Scarborough Red Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Scarborough took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Biddeford, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Biddeford earned a 7-2 victory over South Portland. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Red Riots: they've now won eight in a row.

Jaylah Trottier was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
Trottier wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one run. Those three hits gave Smith a new career-high.
Biddeford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Portland only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, Scarborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-6 to Thornton Academy. Red Storm fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Trojans since on Friday.
Scarlett Floyd was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Nelson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Scarborough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Biddeford, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Biddeford's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Tigers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Scarborough, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Biddeford continue to outrun the ball?
Biddeford might still be hurting after the 14-3 loss they got from Scarborough in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
