Tulpehocken is 1-9 against Berks Catholic since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Tulpehocken is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Tulpehocken lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Brandywine Heights Area, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Trojans never let the Bullets get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

04/14/25 vs Brandywine Heights Area | 1 |
04/04/25 @ Pequea Valley | 2 |
03/26/25 vs Berks Catholic | 2 |
03/22/25 vs Upper Dauphin Area | 2 |
The result came thanks to Jared Baer's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aidan Schwalm, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Aaron Wilson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Berks Catholic and Oley Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Saints came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lynx, sneaking past 3-2.
Mikey Fidler made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fidler was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Berks Catholic is undefeated when Fidler posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
Fidler wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Victor Mejia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Mejia snagged this season.
Berks Catholic pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tulpehocken, their record now sits at 7-4.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Tulpehocken has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like Berks Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tulpehocken might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Berks Catholic when the teams last played back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
