The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 64-52 to Penn Cambria. Bedford was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Penn Cambria apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
AJ Koontz and Jacob Wilson certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Koontz scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Wilson scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Koontz has scored all season. Quincy Swaim was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penn Cambria to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Semelsberger, who scored 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Gibbons, who scored 15 points.
Bedford's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Penn Cambria, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Greater Johnstown the next time they take the court. Bedford will host Greater Johnstown at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Penn Cambria will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
