The Lausanne Collegiate Lynx will welcome the Davidson Academy Bears on Friday. Lausanne Collegiate knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Davidson Academy likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Lausanne Collegiate was fully in charge, breezing past Northpoint Christian 41-14. The Lynx pushed the score to 41-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

Lausanne Collegiate's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tj Jenkins, who threw for 163 yards and four TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes. Jenkins' passing game has become a key predictor of the Lynx's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Another big playmaker for Lausanne Collegiate was Jawell Rodgers, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Lausanne Collegiate was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Rodgers, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Davidson Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Knights 44-10. Considering the Bears have won four contests by more than 33 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Davidson Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mason Pratt, Ty Hutson, and Josiah Perkins picked up one apiece. Pratt got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Lausanne Collegiate's record now sits at 6-3. As for Davidson Academy, their record is now 6-4.
Lausanne Collegiate and Davidson Academy were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, but Lausanne Collegiate suffered an agonizing 36-35 loss. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
