St. Edward's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Reader, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was Reader's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marcos Paez, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Madison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Sanchez, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffin Jordan, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.
St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Madison, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
