The Eastern Tech Mavericks lost against New Town back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eastern Tech was beaten by New Town 64-25. Eastern Tech has not had much luck with New Town recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Town to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nialah Mingo, who scored 23 points. Nasia Hart was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Eastern Tech now has a losing record at 4-5. As for New Town, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Eastern Tech will take on Chesapeake at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Chesapeake is ranked 160th, while Eastern Tech is ranked 180th). As for New Town, they will head out on the road to face off against Catonsville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
