Sterlington found their leader in underclassman Cooper Nelson, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Nelson has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last four times he's played. Khristian Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds.
Sterlington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. As for Union Parish, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
