The Jamestown Eagles will challenge the Gloucester Dukes on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jamestown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Warhill, sneaking past 11-9.

William Morris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Morris was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Luke Adams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Clawson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Jamestown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Gloucester had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Crabbers with a sharp 11-3 win.
Gloucester also got a great performance from Cooper Teagle as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Jesse Jackson was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Boulay, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Jamestown's record is now 14-8. As for Gloucester, their record now sits at 8-14.
Jamestown beat Gloucester 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dukes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
