Montrose won the last time they faced Alamosa and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Montrose Red Hawks' way against the Alamosa Mean Moose as the Montrose Red Hawks made off with a 54-33 win. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Montrose's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mayce Oberg, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points and five steals. What's more, Oberg also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maggie Legg, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 18 points and three steals.

Montrose smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alamosa only pulled down seven offensive boards.

Several Mean Moose players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelin Garcia, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Ortega, who put up eight points.

Montrose pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.8 points per game. As for Alamosa, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.

Montrose wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-39 win against Centauri on the 11th. Alamosa has also already played their next match, a 45-43 loss against Delta on the 11th.
