There's no place like home for Lexington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals on Friday as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Minutemen have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Braeden Barber's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miles Lainhart, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Lexington's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-10 when he doesn't).
