The Quantico Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Randolph-Macon Academy 77-27. Quantico has struggled against Randolph-Macon Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Randolph-Macon Academy had a senior duo take command as Chidera George dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds and Bilal Kebbay scored 16 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. George is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnathan Doku, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Quantico's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quantico will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wakefield Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wakefield School at 5:30 p.m. Randolph-Macon Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
