Wingate is 1-9 against Navajo Prep since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wingate Bears will look to defend their home court against the Navajo Prep Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Wingate came up short against Newcomb and fell 67-55. Wingate has not had much luck with Newcomb recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Navajo Prep stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Shiprock 94-48 at home. Winning may never get old, but Navajo Prep sure is getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
Wingate has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Navajo Prep, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Wingate was dealt a bruising 73-15 loss at the hands of Navajo Prep when the teams last played back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wingate was down 46-13.
