Football Game Preview: Sandy Pioneers vs. Reynolds Raiders

Sandy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Reynolds recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pioneers will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Sandy lost 58-36 to Lakeridge last Friday. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Pacers are ranked fifth).

Sandy might have lost, but man, Caden McMahon was a machine: he rushed for six yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 36 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Reynolds). Everything went their way against Century on Friday as they made off with a 40-15 win.

Sandy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Reynolds, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Sandy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Reynolds in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 27-22 win. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
